Busselton

  • Description: The seaside town of Busselton is famous for "The Busselton Jetty", a 2km long wooden Jetty that stretches out into Geographe Bay, its magnificent beaches and foreshore and all the water activities you can think of. Busselton has been judged top tourism town in 1995 & 1996 and has an abundance of attractions for your family to enjoy.

Capel

  • Description: Capel, is a delightful blend of rural countryside, rolling hills and wide-open spaces. Popular beaches, rich jarrah forests and of course magnificent Tuart forest which is part of the only naturally occurring Tuart forest in the world. It was the first State Forest established in WA and covering an area of approximately 2280 hectares, the Tuart Forest National Park is situated on the Coastal plain between Capel and Busselton. It is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including the highest population of Ringtail Possums (an endangered species) in the state. This beautiful open forest is ideal for bushwalking, picnics and nature studies.  Try relaxing a while on one of our lovely beaches. Capel has 29km of panoramic coastlines with crystal, clear water offering safe swimming for families, excellent fishing, scuba diving, surfing, boating and other water sports. There are no boat ramp facilities within the Shire, however beach access for launching of boats is permitted at Forest, Peppermint Grove, Minninup and Dalyellup beaches
  • Attractions: If you are heading south east towards Donnybrook, along Goodwood Road it's worth a stop at the picturesque Ironstone Gully Falls picnic area. In the wet season, the stream, having followed a course through one of the state's many fine jarrah forests, crosses under the road and gently rambles over a series of rapids. The Falls drop over a ledge of 9m. From August to October the surrounding countryside abounds with a stunning display of WA wildflowers.

Donnybrook

  • Description: Donnybrook is accessible by road from Bunbury in 25 minutes, and coach transport also services the area. This area is the ideal spot to experience the peace and serenity of country living, along with the opportunity to meet friendly people, enjoy beautiful scenery and sample a taste of the good life. Donnybrook and Balingup receive many thousands of visitors every year, are popular with families and are enjoying a fast growth period in the areas of viticulture, and tourism in general. It offers its visitors the opportunity to indulge in premium Western Australian wines and gourmet food, amidst towering old growth karri forests, beautiful beaches and scenic rolling farmlands. There are a range of recreational activities in the area - from visiting the Old Goldfields, to popping into one of the local wineries, or enjoying a simple bushwalk in the surrounding forest.

Dunsborough

  • Description: Sitting at the western end of Geographe Bay, Dunsborough it is a beach town with a difference. Characterised by its holiday homes, Dunsborough straddles the road out to the northernmost point of the Cape, Cape Naturaliste, with its own lighthouse, spectacular coastal scenery, and a select number of idyllic beaches. Despite the busy nature of Dunsborough, it is a truly relaxing place; a paradox you can only understand by visiting the town. The centre of Dunsborough contains a variety of shops shops, a tourist bureau, police station, a tavern, restaurants and take-away food shops, bakeries and some galleries. A small park in the middle of town is a popular haunt for families.
